Almost every lift I've ever fixed started at the sidewall, and almost none of them
were the product's fault. When a client comes back at day nine with a corner
peeling, the temptation is to blame the gel and switch brands. It's rarely the gel.
It's the two millimetres at the sidewall you couldn't quite see — non-living tissue
sitting on the plate that felt clean under the lamp and wasn't. Product cured onto
that tissue is bonded to something already leaving.
The fix isn't a stronger product. It's better light, a slower prep, and getting
comfortable with the idea that the prep takes longer than the colour.
